Kirkland

With six of its 11 square miles running along Lake Washington’s shoreline, Kirkland is a pedestrian-friendly waterfront community known for its art galleries, specialty shops and restaurants. The 46,000+ residents appreciate the fact that twenty-five percent of its waterfront is preserved for public use. Houghton Beach Park in particular is a popular destination for people of all ages with views of Seattle, abundant picnic tables, a lush lawn, 75-foot dock, huge wooden raft, sand volleyball court, and playground.

  • Cactus: (Fun atmosphere with a new twist on Mexican favorites.)
  • Carillon Point: (Beautiful location featuring a marina, two restaurants and a hotel.)
  • Kirkland Art Walk (Second Thursday of every month.)
